Silver Gardens I is a set of three single-storey terraced houses designed to integrate harmoniously into the low-density urban fabric of Arcozelo. The project combines the qualities of single-storey living with a strong connection to the local context, fostering both a sense of community and a high degree of privacy. It adopts a contemporary language while drawing from local materials and forms — namely the use of exposed brickwork and a volumetric composition that resonates with the surrounding built environment.

The dwellings are aligned linearly, sharing communal outdoor spaces to the east and north, while private west-facing gardens ensure individual privacy and take advantage of optimal solar exposure.
Each unit follows a three-bedroom layout, with access through a partially covered entrance porch adjacent to a private garage, leading into the main hall that distributes to both social and private areas. The private zone accommodates two bedrooms overlooking a shared interior patio, as well as a master suite oriented eastward. The social area, located to the west, includes a living room and kitchen arranged as a single, continuous space, opening directly onto the private garden through large glazed openings — reinforcing the relationship between interior and exterior. The program is complemented by a pantry, a laundry room opening to a technical patio that allows natural light and ventilation, and a small office visually connected to the living area through a timber slatted partition that also conceals a guest bathroom. An external technical volume, attached to the main structure, supports the roof slab and defines a covered outdoor area.

All three houses share the same spatial layout and internal areas, with the southernmost unit presenting slight dimensional variations in the corridor and living room due to the non-orthogonal geometry of the plot.
