Silver Gardens II builds upon the conceptual foundations established by Silver Gardens I, proposing a new ensemble of four single-storey terraced houses, set within a plot embedded in the low-density urban fabric of Arcozelo. The project preserves the core principles of the original: volumetric clarity, a fluid relationship between interior and exterior, the use of local materials, and a careful balance between privacy and community living.

The linear arrangement of the dwellings was designed to ensure a unified reading of the whole, without compromising the spatial autonomy of each unit.

Each house is structured around two patios, articulating private areas to the east — comprising two bedrooms and a master suite — and a social area to the west, where the living room and kitchen share a continuous space, fully open to the garden. A central timber-slat element allows for spatial modulation, subtly incorporating a guest bathroom and a home office with independent access.

The programme is completed by a laundry room with a sheltered technical patio, and an outdoor covered area with decking and barbecue, extending daily life into the exterior.

As in the previous project, the identity of the ensemble is expressed through a restrained architectural language rooted in place — characterised by the use of exposed brickwork, simple volumetry, and a light, neutral palette. While the four units share the same typological structure, subtle morphological variations at the ends of the row introduce rhythm, adaptability, and distinct character to the whole.
