The project involved the rehabilitation and extension of a single-family house, with particular focus on the relationship between the existing building and the new volumetry.
The deterioration of architectural elements on the façades led to the replacement of the original granite frames with metal boxes, introducing a more contemporary expression aligned with the adjacent expansion.

The original alignments were carefully preserved, with selective changes to materiality and the geometry of certain openings to improve integration with the built environment. A granite base course was introduced to ensure durability and reinforce the architectural continuity of the ensemble.

The interior layout was designed to privilege the relationship with the central courtyard, allowing generous openings that promote natural light and a strong sense of privacy. An external staircase was also introduced to connect the garage with the rear patio, improving functionality and spatial fluidity.

Sliding panels were incorporated to allow spatial flexibility, enabling different configurations according to the users’ needs. Timber finishes were selected to enhance tactile and visual comfort, contributing to a welcoming and refined atmosphere.
