The project involved the rehabilitation of an existing single-family house, aiming to convert it into a hostel comprising six suites with private bathrooms, shared dining areas, and communal sanitary facilities.

This architectural exercise sought to establish a dialogue between what must be preserved and what may be transformed, striking a balance between the identity of the pre-existing structure and the functional demands of its new use. The main façade was fully preserved, with particular care given to maintaining its ornamental and chromatic elements, in strict respect for its formal and aesthetic character.

Internally, the spatial reconfiguration was guided by a careful reading of the original structure. Elements such as the staircase were selectively rehabilitated, preserving existing components where possible and introducing new ones in coherence with the architectural language of the whole.

The complexity of the conversion required a multidisciplinary methodology, integrating the input of various stakeholders under a common architectural vision. Silverline’s role focused on construction execution, ensuring technical rigor and close attention to detail throughout the process.

The result is a contemporary hospitality space that honors the memory of the place, combining functionality, comfort, and architectural identity.
